Thanks for bringing band aids to school today! :)
Today we read about our friend B the Bear who blows bubbles. I told the kids that she was riding her bike when she was blowing bubbles and that she fell off of her bike and had lots of boo boos! :( We had to help our Boo Boo Bear feel better by putting band aids on her boo boos! Of course the kids were happy to help their friend and who doesn't love bandaids??!! This was great fine motor practice!! We practiced writing the letter Bb and our names too!
Thanks for bringing band aids to school today! :)
Evie brought gummy bears and teddy grahams for snack! They were "BEARY" good!! Thanks Evie for the "B" snacks!! :)
It wasn't just raining outside when it was time to go home....It was pouring!! Can you guess who this is??? It is Angela!! She was giggling so hard when her mommy put this plastic bag over her to keep her dry!!
Today we met our new Alphabet Friend....Benjamin Bunny!! He likes all things that start with letter Bb especially bubbles! We watched our Benjamin Bunny video and sang his song. Then we colored a picture and painted bubbles all over it using our do-a-dot paints.
Grady shared his snack with us and then we went outside to have some bubble fun! :)
We read another silly book about bubbles. We watched Mr. Pencil and learned how to write the letter Bb! We had a very BBBBBusy Day!! :)
Thank you so much for sending in all of the fun band-aids for our Boo Boo Bear project. The kids loved it!! And I loved watching them work on their fine motor skills!! Band aids are hard to open and manipulate and they did awesome!! We reviewed our Action Alphabet and read a new book Bubble Bear. It was a story about a bully.....so we talked about how to treat our friends. We also practiced writing the letter Bb and we did some counting at circle time too. Ayden brought Bear Cookies on a stick, Blue juice and Bear straws to help us learn about letter Bb!! They were "beary" cute!! :) Thanks Ayden! Finally, we practiced reading our Bee Books so we could read them to everyone at home. Please listen to your child read their book. You will be pretty proud....I know I am!! Have a great weekend! Be sure to check the Halloween Sign-up sheet on Tuesday. Again, thank you so much for all that you do for our classroom! I could not do this without you!!
Today we read a Blue Likes Shapes and sang our shape song. We talked about the sound that letter Bb makes and practiced tracing the letter B too. We made some Blues Clues ears and watched a Blues Clues video while we enjoyed Tatum's Blues Clues puppy chow snack!! What a great idea Tatum! We finished up a Busy Bee book we have been working on that reinforces colors. We will practice reading it again on Thursday before sending it home. Just a reminder....Please practice using scissors at home with your child. We will start using scissors almost everyday and some of the students are having a really hard time. Of course, I will be helping them at school but if they get extra practice at home they will just be that much better!! :) Thank you for your help!! I just do not like to see them get so discouraged. I keep telling them that it will get easier.
Today we read about Bubble Bear and learned about the letter Bb. We pretended that our bears were riding bikes and had a crash. We talked about getting boo boos and how we can fix them up with band-aids. I gave the students bears with boo boos on them and they had to take the band-aids and cover the boo boos up. They had a lot of fun with this and wow did we work on fine motor skills!! Thank you so much for sending in the band-aids. They thought it was so much fun to share them so their bear could have several kinds of bandages. Hannah brought bear cupcakes for everyone to eat. . . . super cute! And we watched a bear video while we had snacks. Finally, we practiced tracing letter Bbs and sang the shape song.
Today we had fun learning about the letter Bb with our friend Blue. She also helped us learn our shapes too. We made a really cute book to bring home to help us practice naming our shapes. Please listen to your child name the shapes in their book. We found shapes in our room and learned a shape song. We practiced tracing the letter Bb too. We sang Happy Birthday to our friend Izzy Lopez! She brought super cute Blues Clues cookies. . . they were even personalized!! The kids thought this was pretty special that their name was on their cookie! Thanks Izzy for making Blues Clues day super fun!! Her grandma (and my friend!) Mary Bertram owns the bakery in town. . . The Mixing Bowl. So if you need something special for a birthday or even for preschool she has an awesome selection of treats! Yes. . . .I guess I just did a commercial for my friend!! She may have to pay me for this advertising!! In cookies and cupcakes of course!! hee! hee! :)
Check out Izzy's Blues Clues shirt her mom made!! She is super
creative !! She sells her things too. I will have to get her website so you can check it out sometime!!
