Trinity brought Grouch cookies and garbage cans filled with grapes!!! What a GGGreat idea!! The kids loved it!! Thanks Trinity!!
We practiced tracing letter Gg and also practiced writing our names. Everyone is doing a great job tracing and using their scissors!!

We had fun learning about letter Ff. We read a book about a lonely firefly. At the end of the book the firefly finds lots of friends and the page really lights up!! The kids were so excited. They wanted me to read it again!! We made a jar of fireflies and painted them with glitter so they would light up!! We also practiced writing letter Ff with a highlighter (or what I called a firefly marker!!). Finally, we practiced writing our names. We need more practice but we are making lots of progress!!
Colt brought yummy firefly cookies to share!! We had fun counting our fireflies too!!
We also talked about Farms and animals that live on farms. We read Pete the Cat's version of Old MacDonald Had a Farm. Who doesn't love Pete the Cat??!! If you have not read his books you must check them out at the library or order them from Scholastic!! Seriously my favorite book character ever!! He is so funny!! We made a farm story bag to take home too. Have your child sing Old MacDonald as they pull out the animals out of their story bags.
Yikes!! I am a little behind on my blog!! I don't know why I am having a hard time keeping up lately!!
We read an Elmo book and did some exercising to help us learn about the letter Ee. We made a cute Elmo project too. Look how great my Little Bees are doing with their scissors!! Woot! Woot!
Karlea brought some really fun and yummy Elmo snacks to share!! The kids were so excited when they saw the Strawberry Elmo!! Isn't that the cutest??!! Thanks Karlea!!
E is for Elephants too!!
We read a fun book about a colorful elephant named Elmer. The story had a great lesson....Being different can be fun. If we were all the same things would be a little boring.
We made our very own Elmer Elephants to bring home and we learned a silly poem about elephants too.
Another great snack!! I am telling you.....I have the best mommies ever!! They help make that letter/theme connection even during snack time!! Thanks for the yummy elephant cookies Maddux!! They were almost too cute to eat!!

Check out Meredith's tracing!! Way to go!!
We finished up our dinosaurs by dazzling them up with diamonds!! ok.....plastic jewels but diamond starts with D!!! ;)
We also read The 5 Little Ducks and played a counting game. We did another fun tracing paper and cut out a triangle for the duck's beak.
Finally, we read Lots of Dots and put dot stickers on our letter D.
Who doesn't love a silly clown??!! We watched a video about a clown that worked at the circus and did funny things because he loved watching everyone laugh. We made a funny clown puppet of our own and sang a song about a clown too.
Check out these cute pictures...
Gavin and his mommy made silly clown cupcakes!! I think these are super cute!! Thank you Gavin!!
We played a counting game at circle time and then went back to our seats to do this paper. We counted how many balls the clown could juggle and added stickers to our paper. Have your child count them for you.
We read the ever popular Eric Carle book...The Hungry Caterpillar. We also read a nonfiction book that had great pictures of how a caterpillar changes into a butterfly. We sang our shape song and made a caterpillar out of circles.
Noah brought some awesome caterpillar snacks today!! The boys and girls loved how the fruit caterpillar looked just like the one in our story!! And the rice krispy caterpillars were a hit too!! Thank you so much to all of my preschool mommies for making snack time so much fun!! Thanks Noah!!! Your caterpillar snacks were super cool!!
We also read our Alphatales story... Copycats and practiced tracing the letter Cc. I couldn't resist taking a picture of Cruz in her cat outfit!!! These girls are too cute!!
We listened to a story about a bear who was learning to ride his bike. He fell many times and had lots of boo boos. All of the kids brought band aids to share with one another. (Thanks preschool parents!! I appreciate all of your help!!) They had so much fun fixing up their bear and making him feel all better!! Opening up the band aids and sticking them on their bears took lots of fine motor skills!! Have your child count their band aids!! Owen brought a bear snack mix to share with everyone with teddy grahams, marshmallows and chocolate chips!! Yummy!! Thanks Owen!! We also read another book about Bubble Bear and practiced tracing letter B's!! I am so proud of all of the kids!! They are making lots of improvement already!!
We read a story about a girl who took a splishy, splashy bubble bath!! We used dot markers to make bubbles on our letter B paper. We read about our alphabet friend Benjamin Bunny and we worked on our scissor skills and made our own blue bunny to take home. The students did a great job at sitting at their tables and following directions!! I was so proud!! They practiced drawing circles and drew bubbles all around their bunny. And the faces they drew were so cute!! I love to see how they make their projects come to life with their own little personalities!!
Aren't the little faces on their bunnies too cute??!!!
Trinity and her mommy made some super cute bubble cookies!! All of the kids loved licking the blue icing!! We had some pretty messy faces!! LOL!! Thanks Trinity for a fun snack that helped us remember that bubble starts with B!! :)
We had just enough time to go outside and have some bubble fun!!
Sorry!! I couldn't catch everyone in action!! They blew bubbles for about 2 minutes then they were off to the playground!!
