![]() R is for Rain... We celebrated Brooklyn's Birthday and she brought treat bags for everyone! Thanks Brooklyn! She also brought Raindrop juice to drink!! Pretty clever, huh??!! We did a lot of review work and we practiced listening for beginning sounds in words. Isabella is holding up our practice paper that we worked on where the students had to find and color only the raindrops that had pictures that started with letter Rr. Most of them are able to do this independently!! ![]() R is for Rainbows... We read a book about rainbows and sang a song about rainbows too. We made really cute rainbows to hang in our classroom. We are hoping that the colorful rainbows will attract some sneaky leprechauns to our classroom!! We are going to make traps and try to catch one!! This is always one of the students favorite things to do!! Wish us luck!! ;) We celebrated Izzy Miles birthday and she brought rainbow cupcakes for her snack. We played a number game at circle time and put raindrops on clouds to help us recognize our numbers and count. Some of the students are even doing simple addition problems!! Pretty smart, huh??!!
Sorry that we had to miss school on Monday but I really felt awful!! Unfortunately we missed out on Robot Day but I told the kids they could make the Robot project at buddy stations or play time if they would like. Nick still brought in his super awesome Robot snacks to school so we could enjoy them!! They were a big hit! We were all talking and walking like robots!! We also talked about rain and worked on a paper where the kids had to listen for beginning sounds and put letter R words in the raindrops. We sang a couple of Rain songs and read our Alphatale story Rosy Rabits Radish. Jase brought rain clouds for us to eat for snacks. I just can't believe how creative all of you moms are!! On Friday we read about all of the colors in a rainbow. We worked on reading our color words and sang a rainbow song too. We played a number game at circle time and Rylee brought Rainbow Rice Krispy treats and Rainbow cookies to eat. They were so pretty we almost couldn't eat them but they were soooooo yummy!! We are going to paint rainbows next week for St. Patrick's Day. We are also having fun reading all of the Dr. Seuss books you sent in. Thank you!!
