We read Hide and Seek Hippo and then we tried to find the letter H on our chart song. We also made our letter Hh book. Please have your child read this to you at home. Have them tell you the sound that letter Hh makes. We played a review game at circle time to help us remember our letter sounds. Then we worked on writing the number 3 and listened to our number story.. . . . Three Bouncing Balls. There was a lot of counting going on!! Rylee brought fruit snacks and animal crackers!! I hope you all enjoy!! I can't get it out of my head!! :)

So we decided to make some cute turkey projects to help decorate our tables for Thanksgiving!! As you can see in the pictures below they did a great job!! Cole brought the cutest turkey snack I have ever seen!! And the kids just giggled when they saw him!! They loved that they got to eat one of his tail feathers and some of them even tried a sweet pepper. Cole also brought pilgrim hats..........they were yummy!! Thanks Cole. . . . you and your mommy made our snack time extra special!! We played "Round the Turkey" a fun game to help us recognize colors and we talked about the meaning of Thanksgiving. We had a fun day finishing up letter Ff on Friday. Your kids helped me with a little project I had!! My niece Devan turned 16 and her party was supposed to be on Sunday but her mom got called in to work. . . . so needless to say she was in a panic and had to reschedule the party on Friday. She needed help with decorations so I put the Busy Bees to work!! We cut out lots and lots of purple and black flowers and made a garland for her party! They were so excited to help!! And everyone loved the party decorations!! Devan sent the flowers back and we are planning on making necklaces with them someday soon. We finished up our fish projects and practiced writing letter Ff too.
Every year I get the same response...........The kids love this story!! They think it is so silly. We made old ladies and cut out their mouths. We colored and cut all of the characters in the story. . . . and then we fed the old lady of course!!! To top it off Nick brought flies for us to eat too!! EEEWWWW! They turned out to be the yummiest flies we ever ate!! Thanks Nick!! Needless to say, we did our story bag a few times so we didn't get our handwriting lesson done or our fish from Monday done!! We did work on a few new songs that we are learning that help us spell the days of the week. I guess we will catch up on everything and wrap up letter Ff on Friday!! Sometimes I just want to keep your kids all day long!! They are such a fun group. . . and they are all so eager to learn!! Click on the play button below to hear The Old Lady who Swallowed a Fly!! Have your child sing it for you while they manipulate their story bag!! Have fun! :)
We sang our new Frog Street song. . . . Funny Fish and practiced listening for the "f" sound. We tried to think of lots of words that started with the letter Ff. We worked on our fish sound paper and reviewed our sight word list. We learned another new song. . . .Alphabet forwards and backwards!! This takes a little practice but I am always so amazed at how quick they learn this!! We painted a fish bowl today and plan on adding lots of fish on Wednesday. Brady brought lots of fish for us to eat at snack time. (goldfish crackers!!) We put them in a clear cup and mixed all of the flavors and pretended that our fish were swimming in a fish bowl.
