Today we made May Day baskets to share with someone special. Everyone is looking especially cute because it was picture day today. Thanks Kory. I can't wait to see how the class picture turned out!! After 27 takes surely we will have one good one!! It is really hard to get 12 kiddos to smile and look at the camera at the SAME time!!
The kids voted this the Best day ever!! :)
OK. . . . this is always one of my favorite days!! Today I read the book Wonderful Worms and we learned all kinds of facts about worms. We even learned about worm poop!! I had real worms for the students to investigate with their magnifying glasses. I love to see who is brave enough to touch the worms and who will have NOTHING to do with them!! And as always I have a few brave kiddos who will even pose with a worm crawling on their face!! Keegan even brought worms for us to eat!! Yuck!! He was so excited to share his flower pot snacks with yummy dirt and worms inside!! How fun is that!!!???
We read the book Mrs. Wishy Washy's Farm. Mrs. Wishy Washy likes to wash her farm animals but they do not want to take a bath! We painted a mud puddle and made a counting game to practice with simple addition and subtraction. Nick brought animal cookies to dip in mud (chocolate pudding) for our snack! The kids loved this idea!!
Jase made a very cool viper for snack!! The kids loved it. . . . it was made with hot dogs inside!! I have to admit I was excited for school to be over because I went to the Royals Home Opener with my hubby!! Keegan and I were sportin our Royals attire!! Too bad they didn't win!
This week we learned all about letter Tt. We made trains and learned about turtles. Brianna brought fun turtle treats to eat! We used tapping sticks to make music and we played tic-tac-toe. Alex celebrated his birthday and brought Cars cookies......he loves that movie!! Check out his shirt to match!
