Today we learned all about apples!! We talked about how they can be different colors, where they grow and all of the different ways we can enjoy eating apples. Everyone brought an apple to school today and we took turns using my fancy shmancy apple peeler, corer, slicer. The kids thought this was so neat getting to crank it by themselves!! We put the apples into the crockpot and waited and waited all day long.......until FINALLY.....our apples turned to applesauce!!!!!!
MMMMM!!! My classroom smells so good!!
We learned a silly poem about an apple and made a cute project to go along with it. Have your child recite the poem for you.
We learned to write the capital and lowercase A and read a story to help us remember the sound that it makes. Ask your child to tell you what sound A makes!! Ask them to tell you why the alligator was angry in our story today!!!
Rhexx was so excited to tell us about her trip to the apple orchard and she brought me the biggest apple I have ever seen!! I forgot to take a picture but I had to share this picture of Rhexx that her mommy took. Adorable!! :)
